Samuel Feller is a filmmaker based in Brussels. Through his films, he visually questions the ambivalent feelings and the invisible expectations of individuals in a quest for intimacy. In remote landscapes, his characters are confronted by their complexity and interact with each other while being influenced by the natural environment.

He wrote and directed short films selected and awarded in International film festivals. PASSENGERS, a previous short, was selected at the Cambridge Film Festival, Odense Film Festival (Denmark) and broadcast on TSR (Switzerland) and RTBF (Belgium). His last short film FOREST was premiered at Montreal World Film Festival and received the best performance award at Amarcort Film festival (Italy) and broadcast on TV5 Monde.

Samuel set up his own Production Company, Magellan Films, producing shorts and co-producing documentaries and feature films.

He’s currently developing a short, while writing his first feature. At Varda Artists Residency, Samuel intends to go forward on this project and his own visual storytelling style.
