Joao Streibel is a Brazilian physicist and computer programmer working with computer graphics (CG). His recent works have focused on real-time physics simulations, experimenting with them for their sole visual beauty.
His interests are in the solution and visualization of field equations and many-body chaotic systems. For example: visualizing electric and magnetic fields of a system of interacting particles, water flowing, quantum objects evolving in time, visualizations of the Lorentz Attractor, etc.
During his residency at the VAR program, Joao worked on a prototype of an interactive and real-time physics engine designed to allow for field equations to take place in a continuous and arbitrarily large and detailed space.
